I just finished doing a fresh install of #Mageia6 on my laptop and restoring my apps and data. It was a very good experience and it went very smoothly. Now, it's time to mess around with KDE Plasma!

I bet the hard-core Bitcoin geeks basically think computing is free

like, they'll talk about the "cost" of doing something on a computer in terms of processing time or bandwidth, but beyond that I don't think the _actual physical cost_ of computing has much hold on their limited imaginations

maybe they figure Moore's Law will just eventually take care of it all for them, sort of the computer-geek equivalent of believing in perpetual motion machines

Somebody mentioned here recently that Google has a scary grip over the technologies underlying how we build/use the internet and mentioned Google Fonts (among other things). This got me a little spooked but also made me more conscious of how I use fonts and the fonts I should be using/supporting.

Can anybody link me to good resources for how I should be setting up fonts for web, and just nice, pleasing (#FOSS?) fonts I can use for personal computing?

    Just a friendly reminder.

The #Aardwolf team DOES accept contributions from folks that want to learn to write code :)

    No experience is necessary.

Commonly having something to work on helps the learning process. Plus having someone to bounce ideas off of also helps.

I love everything about this gif made by dantoretcalypso for the promotion of the collective book we have been working on lately! ❤️🐸 It looks so dreamy and warm, I think it is exactly what we wanted to make people feel while reading the stories we have created about rainy days...🌧️ Yes, because it will be all about rain, so with my artist's nickname, I had to be part of this project!😅 we are launching a crowdfunding on the 11th May, more Infos soon!

Curious about GNU Social in general. I'm also interested in OSS, Linux, Emacs, tabletop role-playing games, philosophy, history, and programming. I am known to fiddle with Python.
