Family Search has added the ability to add a spouse of your own gender. But they warn you that marrying someone of your own gender will... create same-sex relationships.

We agreed you had to log off remote services. But not HOW.
I'm reading these old newsletters and it's like "these websites are available until 8pm Eastern" and I'm ???

Reading Erin R. White's post about their experience staying in one place is super meaningful for me today. There's so much narrative of leaving and moving on to bigger and better things but I am so damn tired of starting over. https://erinrwhite.com/what-it-means-to-stay/
From the ASIS meeting May 1989: Nicholas Negroponte of the MIT Media Lab expresses lack of faith in personal computing and document management. โa smart person would ask his secretary to find itโ

I didn't even grow up in this form of American Christianity but was familiar with it. And/but it wasn't until I read the Gospels that I had any interest in being a part of the Christian tradition/faith.
And given how I was brought up, we didn't seriously read them at all so I was in COLLEGE.
Read those, swung incredibly left, never looked back that's how you get turned into salt.
The author's point in going into this is that a major direction of American Christianity in the last 50 years (since 1970 or so) has been:
a) greed is good, acquire as much as you can it's how god blesses you
b) Jesus is coming soon!
and not seeing any tension between overachieving acquisitiveness and preparing for the end of the world and their presumed pre-tribulation rapture.

If you CAN get due dates (and again, not titles, but the next due date), you have the date they visited the library 3 weeks ago. Maybe they always go on Tuesdays. Itโs another lead.
for example your spouse skips town with your kids because youโre an abuser. How easy might it be for you to call some public libraries, say youโre calling about your kidโs card, you have joint custody and heโs worried about a library book which might be overdue. Yes, the parent on the card should be Y. No, you know they canโt give out his books but can they confirm nothingโs overdue?
Now you know they use this library.
Reading a book on How to Disappear and wondering what role public libraries play in some of this. He goes into social engineering and it doesnโt surprise me much, but it has me reflecting on what we do/donโt give out
Philly baristas adding their wages to a spreadsheet to share how different employers treat them. One column includes whether they need to use govt assistance.
From a library technology listserv:
Last Thursday, someone used our scanner to send something to a generic email address at Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo has an auto-responder for that email address, and it sent a message back. I have an auto-responder set up for the email address that our LDS sends from, and it sent a response to their auto-responder, to which it... auto-responded. They have been having that conversation since Thursday afternoon, to the tune of 6168 messages sent back and forth.
If you have a chance, Eira Tansey's (@TeamMidwest @archivist ) Access Library Conference keynote "What we donโt know about what we canโt see: Information and hidden infrastructure" will be streaming at 11:15 Eastern, 9:15 Edmonton time:

should be fantastic for all you infrastructure or information folks.
